RRR 2014: Casting Call And An Edit

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of year again!

The casting call has gone out for Red Ribbon Reviewers 2014, and we already have a few takers!

But before we get to those, Aitor Molina’s Vimeo account was taken down, so he has provided us with a different way to see his contribution from last year, at the link below:

2013: A Final Look Back

Well, guys, this is it.  The last post of 2013.  In a few hours, 2014 will be here (at least where I am) and another year of great reviews will have come to an end.  So, let’s talk about everything that happened…

First of all, I think starting the hype at the end of October paid off–last year, things were rushed, and we still got out 31 submissions, one for each day in December.  This year, we got a grand total of FIFTY-EIGHT submissions, almost twice that!  Granted, some reviewers had multiple submissions, but that’s still damn impressive in my book!

Second, I’d like to thank everyone who contributed.  Some of you went above and beyond–I thought my usual contribution of four videos was big, but I ate some humble pie this year after I saw Spongey444 contributed NINE text reviews, and JustinB6699 contributed around 14 or 15.  Damn!  I’m not saying that makes anyone else’s contributions less valuable in comparison–every one of you helped greatly–but these guys still deserve a round of applause.  What am I saying, you all do.

And finally, I wish you the best of luck in 2014.  Some people thanked me for keeping this place going, but really, I’m not the one you should be thanking.  It’s all of you that made this possible, not me.  I’m just the guy who posted what you made here.  And to the LGBTQ community, which this site was made for, here’s hoping that HIV/AIDS will have a true cure one day.  But until then, I still wish all of you a happy and safe new year.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Eli Stone/TheHeroOfTomorrow/The Cartoon Hero.
